Many customers have still not had their new water meters installed. VDE will do this for free, but we need access to your home. We need to complete this project ASAP, as VDE has been billing these residents by estimating their water usage. Upgrading these meters will allow us to charge actual usage rather than estimated. Our operators only need 30 minutes in your home to make this necessary replacement.
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services requires that the VDE must establish an inventory of all home water service lines to ensure there is no lead piping. The easiest way to do this is to have a VDE operator enter your home to gather the necessary information about your service line.
